ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Sixty-two percent of American adults drink alcohol, and every January, about 30% try Dry January — that’s nearly 80 million Americans. I have a segment that meets them exactly where they are, with a message of hope that could save lives.

My name is Thomas Andrews. I’m a Marine Corps veteran, 15 years sober, and a peer support specialist who works with veterans in recovery. I hit a bottom so dark that if I’d had access to a gun, I wouldn’t be here today. I didn’t even know what self-love was until I stopped drinking. Now I’ve written a book called Return to Self- Love, and I want to share how to love yourself through Dry January.

Tyra Banks, Daniel Radcliffe, and Drew Barrymore are all sober. This isn’t just about abstinence — it’s about discovering who you are without alcohol.

Four Ways to LOVE Yourself
Through Dry January:

L — Look for options

There are plenty of things to drink besides beer, wine, and booze. Water, coffee, tea, coconut water — which is my favorite — all give you a way to stay in the challenge without feeling left out.

O — Organization

Don’t try to do this alone. Don’t put all the pressure on one accountability partner. Build a small group of friends, or join a 12-step meeting, and connect with others doing Dry January. That sense of organization and community will keep you motivated when you hit bottom and feel like giving up.

V — Voice

Use your voice. Tell your family and friends, “I’m doing Dry January. Ask me how I’m doing every day. Help me stay accountable.” Saying it out loud makes it real.

E — Exercise

Exercise helped pull me out of homelessness. I built an exercise business on the beach, and physical movement has saved me many times in my life. Exercise will help you stay committed to Dry January, and it will help you rebuild your health and your confidence. Yoga, meditation, walking on the beach — these are secret superpowers you can use to love yourself through this month.
